MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF HADLEY PLANNING BOARD
SEPTEMBER 9, 2013
The regular meeting of the Town of Hadley Planning Board was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Chairperson Lynn Waite. Those members present were Lynn Waite, Kathy St.John, James Bennett and Blue Neils. Absent were Clifford Johnsen and Attorney Johnson-excused.
James Bennett made a motion to approve the August meeting minutes, seconded by Blue Neils, all in favor.
After review of Variance Application V-01-2013 (Robert Lanza), the Board determined that a variance was in order based on the following circumstances:
•1. That the strict application of said dimensional requirements would result in a specified practical difficulty to the applicant; and
•2. That the requested variance is not substantial in relation to the requirements; and
•3. That the difficulty cannot be alleviated by some practical method feasible for the applicant to pursue; and
•4. That there will be no substantial change in the character of the neighborhood or a detriment to the adjoining properties; and
•5. That the variance would not be materially detrimental to the purpose of this chapter, or to the Town.
Based on the five circumstances, Blue Neils made a motion to grant final approval for Variance Application #V-01-2013, seconded by James Bennett, all in favor.
Kathy St.John made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 p.m., seconded by Blue Neils, all in favor.
