MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF HADLEY PLANNING BOARD
JUNE 7, 2010
The regular meeting of the Town of Hadley Planning Board was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Chairperson Lynn Waite. Those present were Lynn Waite, Kathy St.John, James Bennett, Blue Neils, Clifford Jonsen and Attorney Johnson.
Kathy St.John made a motion to approve both the Public Hearing and Regular Meeting Minutes of May 3, 2010, seconded by Clifford Johnsen, all in favor.
After review and discussion of Variance Application #V-01-2010 (Joseph & Jean Cieslik), Kathy St. John made a motion grant final approval for the requested variance regarding the Town of Hadley Building code, Article VI, 67-25-A (Property Line Setbacks) based on the following five (5) findings:
•1. That the strict application of said dimensional requirements would result in a specified practical difficulty to the applicant; and
•2. That the requested variance is not substantial in relation to the requirements; and
•3. That the difficulty cannot be alleviated by some practical method feasible for the applicant to pursue; and
•4. That there will be no substantial change in the character of the neighborhood or a detriment to the adjoining properties; and
•5. That the variance would not be materially detrimental to the purpose of this chapter, or to the Town.
Motion seconded by James Bennett, Board Members in agreement: Blue Neils and Lynn Waite, Board Members Opposed: Clifford Johnsen.
After review and discussion of Sub-Division Application #SD-02-2010 (Galen Wilcox) the Board determined that the application is incomplete based on the fact that a current Adirondack Park Agency determination has not been provided as part of the application, therefore application was not accepted as complete.
The Board has determined that Boundary Line Adjustment Form for Applicant/Seller Mildred Hughes and Purchaser Stephen LeClere is truly a Boundary Line Adjustment and the Town of Hadley Planning Board does not have jurisdiction.
Kathy St.John made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m., seconded by James Bennett, all in favor.
