The regular meeting of the Town of Hadley Planning Board was call to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Lynn Waite. Those present were Lynn Waite, Kathy St.John, Patricia Morrow, Mike Mason and Attorney Johnson. Absent was Bill Brandt.
Rhonda Mabb, representing Elaine E. Wendell, presented a two lot Sub-division application regarding 53 First Avenue, Hadley, NY, tax map # 27.18-6-27. Owner will retain 0.555 acre and create a second 0.555 acre lot. After review and discussion of the application, the board determined that all was in order. Kathy St.John made a motion to accept application as complete and schedule a Public Hearing for Monday April 3, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Mike Mason, all in favor.
Supervisor Trottier and members of the Town Board are requesting the Planning Board's input on Zoning for the Town of Hadley. After a lengthy discussion of both pros and cons of Zoning, it is the Planning Board's opinion by majority vote that Zoning not be recommended for the Town of Hadley. It was the consensus that our current laws such as Site-Plan and Subdivision will better serve and protect the Town both today and in the future. Therefore, Secretary Thomas will prepare a memo to the Hadley Town Board advising them of the Planning Boards recommendations.
Kathy St.John made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m., seconded by Patricia Morrow, all in favor.
