Regular meeting of the Hadley Town Board, Thursday April 10th 2008, held at the Hadley Town Hall, 4 Stony Creek Road, Hadley, N.Y. 12835.

Also present: Attorney Raeann Johnson Highway Superintendent: Joe Monica
Supervisor Wright informed the public that the meeting would consist of paying the bills and the reports of the departments only. The Board will be gathering at the Funeral Home for viewing for a Town Board Member, Colleen DeMarsh's father. If need to, we will hold an Agenda Meeting on April 24th.
Motion was made by James Brewster seconded by Charles Ovitt for the General transfer:
Transfer $788.72 from Code 1910.4 (Unallocated Insurance) to Code 1220.4 (Supervisor)
RE: Additional Expense. All Ayes.
Motion was made by Susan Wilder seconded by Charles Ovitt to approve the Highway transfer:
Transfer $7,240.28 from Code 5130.2 (Machinery) to Code 5142.4 (Snow Removal)
RE: Additional expense to Code (Salt). All Ayes.
Motion was made by Susan Wilder seconded by Charles Ovitt to approve the budget adjustment for the Cemetery.
Debit Code 909 (Fund Balance) by $362.77, Credit Code 960 (Appropriations) Sub-Code 8810.4 by $362.77. All Ayes.
Motion was made by James Brewster seconded by Charles Ovitt to approve the minutes of the March 13th Town Board meeting. All Ayes.
RESOLUTION # 38 was made by a motion from James Brewster seconded by Charles Ovitt.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Hadley Town Board have audited all pre-paid vouchers and all have been approved. All Ayes

RESOLUTION # 39 was made by a motion from Susan Wilder seconded by Charles Ovitt. BE IT RESOLVED that the Hadley Town Board have audited all vouchers and all have been approved for payment. All Ayes.

Included in the Board's folders are: Supervisor's monthly report, Building Inspector's report, Planning Board meeting minutes. Also monthly Fuel Report from the Highway Department and projects to be approved.
Water 1, Water 2 and Sewer reports are on file in the Town Clerk's Office for review.
Highway Superintendent's report was verbal. He was asking the Board's permission to go ahead with projects which he had already acquired estimates.
Funds have been appropriated for these projects in the amount of $27,000. The estimates are in the amount of $19,000.
Attorney Johnson stated that one of the estimates was acquired from a Board member's relative and she wanted this to be documented.
The estimate in question was acquired from Michael DeMarsh, Plumbing and Heating.
After a long discussion, the board made a decision. It was also discussed that some of the town employees could do some of the work.
RESOLUTION # 40 was made by a motion from Charles Ovitt seconded by James Brewster.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Hadley Town Board, after a lengthy discussion approved to have the Electrical work done at the Highway Garage, the Overhead doors and windows. All Ayes.
Highway Superintendent stated that he has been working with the County for the work needed to be done on the Old Corinth Road.
Supervisor Wright informed the Board that he had met with Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward pertaining to the building of the Senior/Community Center. She informed him that there are no funds available at this time but provided him with other information which might help the town.
Supervisor Wright informed the Board that the Town did not receive the $100,000. Grant they had applied for through Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand.

The Town Clerk was in receipt of a letter from the Hadley Luzerne Central School reminding the Board about the school borrowing the voting machines. Both machines will be used and Wayne Waite, Election Inspector will be attending the machines for the school.
Councilwoman Wilder asked if she could advertise for a Beautification Committee meeting. Supervisor Wright stated that she could bring the ad to the Town Clerk and it would be sent to the Pennysaver.
Motion was made by James Brewster seconded by Charles Ovitt to adjourn the meeting at 7:25PM. All Ayes.
